I just uninstalled the GTA from the PC used by the whole family. I was really annoyed when my father bought it for our nephew (a cousin's son who stays with us for now and whom my father dotes on unconditionally). I told him that it wasn't a good game for the boy because the protagonist is an ex-con who is paid to vandalize, to assassinate - who goes around the city killing people and harassing people. He didn't want to believe be because he was already caught in the boy's hype about getting the game. Now he realizes how bad it is and told me to get rid of it - the boy doesn't mind, he's actually very civil about it and has agreed that he'd just play Prince of Persia :)

GTA has a reputation for being so violent that some organizations banned the game. It's also got am R-18 or something rating from the regulatory board. So it must be something really and definitely not for kids. The makers of GTA even released a game called something like Bullying University where you play as a bully who beats up students and teachers and vandalize the school.
