A perfect new year's gift for my blog site

It was only yesterday night that I had modified my blog by deleting 3 of my oldest posts and 6 PTC ads from 4 of my posts. At that time my blog's PR was 0/10. I didn't realise that it would affect my PageRank so dramatically. Today morning when I logged into my blogger I couldn't believe my eyes when the Google PageRank bar showed a PR of 2/10 for my blog site. The PR changed from 0 to 2 overnight.For proof you can visit my blog. The URL can be found in my profile. Anyway what I would like to know is, is this the regular Google PR update that happens once in 3 months or did it just to my blog because I modified it?
