After Christmas Sales

I was disappointed in the after Christmas sales this year. Although I saw lots of good markdowns - as much as 70% off, it looked to me like they simply marked down items that weren't selling very well to begin with???
I went out shopping again today. Still seeing great deals, but nothing I want to buy!
What have been your impressions?

70% sounds good but there is not a thing i need nor do i have the money to buy presents for next year & i sure wouldn't want to fight the crowds. i don't like to shop anyway. happy new year.

I usually like to pick up some clothes or something we need. I don't go shopping very often, so like to get the best deals I can for the money.

don't blame you, i stay home all the time & really don'tneed anything, ned to wear out some of these things i have. really need to clean out my closets & carry some to good will.

I've been out a couple of times now. The first time I went to one shop, not much seemed to have been reduced, but when I went again a few days later, some stuff that hadn't been discounted before was now reduced. It could be that prices will go lower if the shops get desperate.
