When i was a kid i collected animal postcards and buttons. Now for the longest time i collected nothing. Lately i started to collect Coasters and Shopping bags, I know it sounds weird but here in Vegas they have lots of shopping places and they give you the coolest bags. Sometimes i use them to give presents in.. My coasters i have around the top of my kitchen going all around the wall,it looks cool.

Hello, yes, I collect things also. I don't collect buttons, but there are a few buttons I would like to have. One of the strange things I collect are from the last century (1900's) that contained uranium or thorium or radium, in other words, anything that was purposfully made to be radio-active. I learned a while ago, that in the 1920's and 1930's some buttons were made with radium glass in the middle. They glowed in the dark. Not very healthy if it was worn a lot. Old clocks and watches, airplane and truck parts, water jugs, plates and bowls, air cleaners and static electricity removers, smoke alarms, radio tubes, fishing lures and on and on. I also like to collect meteorites, recent years it has been an armchair hobby, (I'll buy a specimen I want), I used to go and look for myself, found a lot too. When younger I built and collected model planes and ships. I collected tiny trains for a few years, (n gauge) all gone now. I collected and restored Roman coins, mostly gone now, banknotes in uncirculated condition, I still collect, I have some of them on my website. Strange plants, I have an interest in it if is edible or medicinal or if it is just plain weird.

I forgot stickers and I do have some old coasters kicking around as well. I have a real old one I scored at Kodak while servicing some equipment at their Melbourne film processing facility, about 1985. A yellow disk with a black rim, and Kodak in the middle.

When I was little I collected stickers and would put them into special sticker book albums. Now that I'm older I don't collect anything. Maybe I should for a hobby?

When I was a little girl my mom got me started with collecting "spoons". Back then (1970's) so many places had a collectible spoons that you could buy as a keepsake. For example, if I went to Disneyland - I would get a little silver spoon from there. I had so many from all over the place and my mom bought me a rack to hang them in. I still have the spoons but they are no longer in the rack - just in a bag packed away. I also collected plates with paintings on them. I did not have many but the ones I had were very cute and I still have them. Now, I collect Wooden or crafty homemade tyle "Angels". I have them in my home and I love them. I'm a little picky about the ones I like so I mainly buy them myself rather than getting them as gifts. I also collect postcards from around the world. I joined a site called postcrossing and I exchange postcards with strangers in other countries. It's really very neat to get them in the mail.

Hi MissyBear, I can't remember what I collected as a kid. But when I was traveling a lot during my work, I used to collect soaps and shampoo/bath gel bottles from hotels - some of them had rather cute designs. Now I collect glass and plastic containers - especially those with unique designs or colors. And of course, books - I collect books, usually those of my favorite genres, and authors.

Hey missy! That does sound like something really cool to collect! I had never thought about collecting coasters! But, then again I don't live in a very exciting place so it wouldn't be much fun! I guess living in Las Vegas there are lots of great things to collect. Where I live it is just a normal large city that isn't famous for much, except problems and trouble! I don't even get to Manhattan anymore so I don't get to the areas where there would be good stuff from there to collect!

When I am an elementary student, between schoolmate the popular, collection such as leaf, the flowers and so on thing manufactures the bookmark. The method is very simple,so long as clamps gently it in the clean page then. Generally we will place it inside the thick dictionary. Several months or 1-2 years later, then opens the appreciation, it already became a specimen. Also some method, is must make several kinds the specimen the thing platoon to become an attractive shape, pastes above attractive cardboard. Then protects with the thin film achievement.

I collect old cameras and usable antiques. Usable means that I can use them at home and mix the style with contemporary furniture.

I collect jars and vases. I especially love chinese jars because I find them very interesting with their detailed ornaments. I have also started collecting porcelain dolls. They are just so lovely and fragile. The most that I have collected are handbags. I have a collection and I have even used some of them. I jsut love handbags since I consider this a part of a woman's accesories.
