New Year's Day Pajama Brunch 2009 Guests who dine in their pajamas receive a (restaurant name) gift certificate equal to the price of the meal toward a future visit. This is real, not a joke. Would you go the the restaurant wearing pajamas?

Hi Polachicgao, I definitely would, Johnny Fingers from the Boomtown Rats wore them all the time out and on shut down day at work the girls all wore Christmassy PJs with fluffy slippers but did wear underwear and a vest top under them for modesty and reindeer ears. I should imagine it is really good fun providing they are the thick wincette type LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D

Thank you, Happy New Year to you. I guess it is cultural things. I wouldn't do it in Europe. Here in USA things are different, many people are wearing pajama pants when going shopping.... HUGS

Tell me more. I spend 3 months this year in Europe. I felt like poor cousin walking on the streets. They have such cultural pressure to look good 24 hours a day. If you are wearing clothes that are not in recent fashion, they look at you like from Mars... Also, they are wearing skirts that short that nobody would in here.... People dress up when going shopping or when going to garbage disposal.... I don't say that I don't like it, but I am much better without spending all of my money on clothes...

That is so true. Whenever my mom comes to visit from Germany she always comments on some of the close people wear here. When she's here she wears stuff she would never wear back home. Like sweat pants to go to the store in. Back home they get dresses up to go grocery shopping.

There is fun in being the solo-pajama patron. Atleast, if you got the urge to be silly, there is no worry of people your with becoming irate. "Oh, this pajama thing is a special occassion? This is how I always dress..."

I would. My pajamas look cool anyway.....well, at least I think they're cool. It's a promo from the restaurant anyway so I don't think I'll be the only one. At least I won't feel.....odd. Eating at a restaurant in my pajamas should come close to having breakfast in bed. Happy new year.

In what restaurant? And in what country is it? Maybe I'll fly all the way up there :) It sounds interesting. It would be funny :) I wouldn't care about what they'd give me, it would be fun to do it only to see the reactions of other people :) Of course I wouldn't go alone, that'd be weird :) But with some friends it could be quite amusing... And comfortable, too. I'd make sure to take some good looking baggy pajamas, thoug :)

lol no, I was kidding :) A ticket costs more than a meal... It wouldn't make sense... For fun I could go in my pajamas in any restaurant here, just to see people's reaction :)

well if i get a free meal certificate from the restaurant, i certainly would not mind going to the restaurant in a payjama. infact in India Payjama and Kurta (top) are part of the national dress and considered a dignified dress. Most politicians and ministers in India wear white spotless payjama and kurta all day.

I would:) Especially if the restaurant is one of the poshest restaurant in town. It would be funny to see other patrons dressed in their suits while I eat comfortably in my PJ's. my only problem is what would my GF think if I brought her along with it.

Even the better,I would love to do it. I've been to a university class in my PJ's on a dare. Though the professor did not comprehend that we did the dare due to his boring lectures and voice tone. That was a fun dare nonetheless.

I think it all depends on the restaurant that i'm going, because i usually like to dress up to go to restaurants. If it's something down to earth yes i would go with my pj's.

Hey, I have done this! My friends and I would "kidnap" girls by picking them up first thing in the morning and not even letting them change into clothes. Then we'd all go to breakfast at a restaurant. When it was my turn to be "kidnapped", I was lucky to be wearing nice pyjamas.

I seriously doubt I would...I wouldn't even wear my nightshirt to the hospital. I don't like feeling vunerable and somehow not having any pants on makes me feel that way. I might wear a pair if they were a pants and shirt type but not just a gown or nightshirt. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

No, I wouldn't. I would probably scare the other guest away! I am always amazed at the places that I see people in their pajamas and even their slippers, out in public. I thought that pajamas were for relaxing at home. Maybe it's just that I am getting older and see such things as rude? But, no, I would NOT wear my pajamas to a restaurant.

This is cool and unique! =) If the restaurant is known for serving great foods, I think I can go there in my pajamas. I love eating and wearing pajamas will not stop me with my food tripping. =)

It sounds like that could be something fun to do for a girls day out. That way, you're not alone in your pj's and you can have fun goofing off with your girlfriends about it. I would wear some nice warm pj's that could function either way. I don't see anything wrong with it, just have fun and enjoy yourself.

If that's what it called for, definitely. It's like ladie's night or any equivalent Halloween bash where you need to wear your costume to enter.
