With impending financial crisis and going through that crisis with tightened budget, perhaps, our spending with movie tickets will surely be something which is worthwhile. Now, I will be asking you this question as most of you might now be choosy with the movie they will be watching and not just spend to something which is not worth it. What is your criterion in buying that movie ticket for a movie? If you will ask me about it, my criterion is usually as follows: a.) Something which is critically acclaimed b.) Something in my line of interests How about yours?

It has to be soemthing that I am really interested in seeing. I just don't want to pay money for something that I don't care whether I see or not. I can't afford to just throw money away on soemthing that I don't think that I will enjoy.

When you are in a relationship, you seems to be in a state of hypnosis. Which means you will not be aware of what you will be doing. For this reason, you will always end up counting how much you spend after the termination of such relationship.

We usually watch a movie at home because it is cheap and you can pause what you are watching if you have to do something. We just watch a movie if it something being anticipated to be great, if the casts are well known actors or if it's a sequel of a favorite movie of ours.

Watching movies in the big screen can give you some of the most wonderful experience in a movie especially the surround sound. And above all, you can get the full grasp of the movie if it is projected bigger than life. Maybe we should watch movies sometimes because that is the very reason a film is made.

If I have the situation and budget tighten, I will only go to cinema maybe once or twice. Since the movie ticket's is not that cheap either. But I will always choose every Tuesday to watch. As it saves me about 35% from the weekend cost and I'm a member as well. The movie I will choose based on my favorite actor/actresses who is the main starring, second the type's of the movie. I love those not only give us entertainment, but also historical and graphic effect that will enhance the movie itself. The story or the plot must be interesting and I Myself can not guess what's the end of the movie. But if those already known the end, I will just said to myself. In few months time, this movie will be in HBO or will shown on TV channels. Because I have my home theater, so the effect will not go down that far from the cinema. Anyway Better be late then Never...Am I right????

That would a good idea. I must confess that I envy your home theater. You do not have to go to the cinema. Or you can download some videos from the internet. anyway.. thanks for adding me and your reply.

I do understand about that. But if you think that you will only go for a cheaper one, maybe that cheaper one is not that good enough. In this case, you will end up spending something that is not worth your money. But nevertheless, that would be a good idea. However, have you tried to spend more for a movie ticket especially for a blockbuster movie?

I will only go to the cinema for few reasons. One of them is my friends who often invite me for a movie outing and I will not turn them down unless I am very busy at that time. Secondly is if the movie is something which I really love to watch and something which I feel is worth watching on the big screen. Such movies would be those with a lot of special effects and high production values. I would not go and watch a mediocre movie without any special effects since I would not be able to enjoy the big screen inside the cinema. I rather stay home and watch those movies on DVDs. I've been doing this since many years ago especially since that our movie ticket price has gone up.

You've got a point there buddy. But sometimes I also watched Adam Sandler movies although they are sometimes mediocre as i look at them. But the thing is I really enjoy them.

It almost takes an act of congress to get me to go to the movie theater. The high priced ticket, the overpriced food, the rude patrons....I would just prefer to buy the movie and watch it at home. I have bought movies that I ended up giving away since they were pretty horrible, but at least I didn't have a bad evening along with the bad movie!

that is good. At least you will not spend some hard earned money from something else which is not that worthy.

We have a theater here that gets movies second run and you only pay $2.00 for the ticket. I don't mind spending that. If I'm going to spring for the spendy tickets though it has to be something that either I expected is going to have spectacular cinematography that you'll get a totally different experience seeing on a big screen compared to waiting for it on DVD to see on the TV or.....it's a treat night, taking my granddaughter to see the latest pixar movie etc.
