distributor

Hi - I need to replace the distributor on my 1990 Honda Accord and was wondering if anyone knew of any 'tricks' so I don't mess it up. I have the distributor and will mark the old one when I take it out but I can't take the cap off of the new one because it will void the warranty. Any help would be appreciated - I'm trying to keep my Honda on the road instead of having a car payment. Thanks Jessie

you have to mark each wire but it is easy if you do one wire at a time

There isn't much for wiring it is just a jack but I didn't know if there was anything to worry about the timing so I don't mess up my injectors

I would say that you will be able to tell immediately that a new one has been put in. I've just had the distributor replaced on my car and was worried about the same thing, but as soon as I opened the bonnet I realised there was nothing to worry about - it was platently obvious it had been replaced. Either that, or you could stay there and watch them do it.
