This year i will be in grade 12, and i personally think that it has been a waste of time. This is me, I dont know about you, but i dont know how people can say that school was the best part of my life. I believe that the education that we have today isn't top standard. Im not the smartest person in the world, but I'm definitely not the stupidest either. lol. I believe that you learn so much more outside of school, actually doing everything first hand, instead of studying it. I think education these days, is more about the money, everyone only cares about money, and it seems to be getting worse. I would like to hear what you think about todays schooling. It may change the way i see it.

I am a college student, and I think it is a waste of time. for my major, the teacher didn't teach well, they just read the books. and the people around me just kill time and wait for graduation.lol I just teach things all by myself. lol happy mylotting.

At the moment, I'm in college, and I'm enjoying it. I don't think that it's a waste of time. I enjoy learning about what I'm studying, about my passions, and being with people, who have the same passions. That's one reason why I don't think that it's a waste of time. Another reason is that you can certainly have fun outside of classes, with your friends and such. I have found that with college and such, I have grown as an individual and I think that I have become a better person.

I gained social skills and knowledge of different subjects at my school. I prepared for my career and now I am a primary school teacher. My favorite subjects were English and History. I hated Maths, PE and Science. PE was the only waste of time I can remember. When I was grown up I did an A Level in Travel and Tourism so subject choices are more exciting these days it seems.

I was in 12th grade thirty plus years ago and can remember thinking it was a waste of time to get an education. I was wrong. The education I received in school back then offered me many opportunities that the those who chose to get their education on the streets did not have.

Maybe where you are its fine. But what annoys me about where i am, (in Australia), is the only thing our school there, cares about is their reputation. This year, we practically have a class to study for our OP's... lol, just so they can get their rank up... Also, my school also focuses on careers... they lead us career wise into the future. Thats where i think its all wrong. Of course its a good thing that their preparing us for the future. Its just how they do it. They believe that we should know what we want to do for the rest of our lives, right now. Thats not right. I believe that a career is like a railing for evolution. You do what you want to do, and the career, and school, just help you get there.
