Awe the one thing we wish for when we are tired and need some extra sleep or the one thing we wish we could sometimes do when we are overwhelmed and just need to get away from everything. Crawl into bed put the covers on and either watch a good movie or read a good book. But when the doctor gives you no other option but bed rest because of a problem with your prenancy it tends to drive ya nuts. At the beginning of the week i went to my weekly check up with my gyno being at 38 weeks pregnant we did the regular exame and they took my blood pressure to find that it was high so decided to test to see if i may have preeclampsia, i had a small trace amount of protien in my urine so they sent me over to OB in my local hospital for a NST (non stress test) thats where they hook you and your baby up to moniters and take your blood pressure. Well during the whole time my blood pressure remaind high but they took some blood which came out fine and then they took some more urine and they came out fine so the doctor decided it may be best to place me on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy and just have me come in for another NST so we went in yesterday to find that i still have high blood pressure and can't be taken off of bed rest.....the one time i really want to get up and do stuff and i can't per doctors orders. And now we have to go back to the doctor on Monday to do another NST. I think at this point (because we will be 39 weeks when we go in to the doctor) that i may just opt to be induced. I'm ready to see my baby and so is my husband =) Luckily I'm not like most pregnant women who have to be on bed rest for several months i am gratefull for that. Has anyone else had problems with their pregnancy and feel helpless and upset over it?
