Oh blue tick heelers are pretty dogs. They are also knwon as Australian Cattle Dogs. Which are very loyal and tireless hard workers who are devoted to protecting their owners, herd, and property. Nowadays these hounds are used as guards and pets too. They are healthy dogs though there can be problems such as hip dysplasia, deafness, and PRA. So, be on the look out for those.A Blue heeler cattle dog is bred by some kennels as a show and picture dog. The hound has a broad, slightly convex skull with a light stop; muscular cheeks, medium-length nose bridge and tight, clean lips. The ears are moderately small, pointed, and broad at the base, muscular and are held erect. Do you know anything about the dogs background?

Congratulations on your new pet! They really do get to be like a member of the family after a little while. I am not familiar with that breed, is it a kind of hound? My dad used to breed a hound called German Shorthair Pointers.
If I were to get a dog, I definitely would go to a shelter to get one. I think its the best way to do it, you are saving the dog's life and providing a great home for a pet who needs it.
