It is the beginning of a New Year and I am facing it ....unemployed. I didn't look for work too much in December so now I am feeling a little panicky about finding something now. I really hope the ecnomy is on an upswing 'cause I really need to be able to go back to work!

I'm in your same situation. The only time in December I didn't look for work is the 24th and 25th. I start the morning every day on my laptop. I just had an interview o the 30th, but don't know how well it went. The way I see it, you gotta look every day and the first offer you get, you take. If you don't like it, you keep looking but you don't quit that job until you get another offer. There's no more company loyalty until you end up in a halfway decent position.

I think that if we all look at is a an approaching oppotunity, we will all survive. I got laid off from the favtory I was working at in July. I was upset, no doubt, but found that when I looked at it from a different perspective, I was able to begin something new. I now work for myself and have more time at home. Where one doors closes, another always opens, it is up to us to find our talent or interest and put it to work for us. The simplest of talents can turn into the most rewarding opportunity if wee just apply ourselves. Please, keep your chins up and look for the silver-lining that is surely there.

It is so tough right now. My hubby will more than likely be unemployed soon. He workd in construction things are starting to look a bit rough. I too may be facing being unemployed by mid year. Right now times are tough. I hope the new year brings brighter times. I am not too sure people can handle things getting any worse.
