Guys! Do you feel insulted when a girl pays for herself?

Or do you feel a silent joy? I was once at a night club with some friends of mine who didn't smoke or drink and I was in the mood for drinking lol So as soon as we arrived to the point of destination I marched to the bar, ordered myself a drink, downed it,checked out the music and lights... And only when I turned around did I notice that the guys looked very unhappy and that's when I received my brainwash I was told that it's an insult to a man when a girl pays for herself while my weak argument was that I didn't know since they didn't drink and I'd prefer to enjoy spending my own money rather than be uncertain. How would you feel? I know that most guys would probably feel embarrassed, but wouldn't you feel a teeny bit of relief?

of course not, in fact a girl becomes more attractive if she pays for herself. It means you can date more often since two of you will share the bills instead of you just paying

Makes sense but would you feel more attracted if the girl was at least choosing cheaper places to go? Without having to pay, that is. Still considerate...

Lol! Well it doesn't bother me at all. I mean does it make me less of a man? Maybe less of a gentleman but still i don't think it's insulting. Like you said, it's a relief lol! I'd be a hypocrite if i say it's not.

Well,at least you're honest! I don't know what I would feel as woman but I can certainly understand you as a person!

Boy am I glad I'm past that stage in relationships. I remember back when I was dating and always wondering if the guy was planning on paying for everything, or if I'd have to pay my own way, or worse, if he was expecting me to pay the whole bill. It was always an awkward feeling. But when I began dating my husband, it was totally different. I knew him too well to ever question who was paying for what. Shortly after we began dating he went out of work because of an injury, so I just knew that I was paying for everything regardless. It was never an issue and I never felt awkward about it. Of course now it doesn't matter... whether he pays or I do... it's a joint bank account, lol. It's just whoever reaches their wallet first.

That's true that money is joint in relationships.I guess I was lucky I never met a guy who expected me to pay the entire bill!

Aside from my husband.. who had a good excuse for not paying... I only dated 1 other guy who I actually had to pay for. It was an odd experience, I can't really explain it. I was head over heels for him, although I don't know why, and would have given him a million dollars if that would have made him love me, so I guess he knew that and took advantage of it whenever he had the chance. Luckily it didn't last long, only a few months.

It all depends, but for the most part, i end up paying lol Sometimes i get lucky, and my gf would tell me that she would want to go out for the night and that is when she would pay, other than that, i am usually setting up the dates and paying. Also, it is attractive when your gf takes you out and pays for you, it makes me feel lucky in a way lol

Don't get used to it,I like independent women but when a woman pays for you all the time it makes a man look like a gigolo! lol
