Have you ever bought something from an infomercial or from QVC or something? Anything you saw on TV and called the 1-800 number they told you to call to buy it? I've never bought anything from TV because it always seems like a scam. I wish they weren't because I need one of those exercise things!

Actually, I'm almost ashamed to admit it but yes I have bought things from television. Most of the time it was from a company that I've heard of before such as Time Life for music CDs, or the shopping channel ETC. As a matter of fact I recently purchased my laptop from the home shopping channel because it was a one day a showstopper, where they have a great deal for only one day and because it was part of a package I got it for an exceptional price. The final selling point for me was an interest free payment plan just prior to Christmas. I would never advise anyone to buy electronics or even some other products online because sometimes you're not exactly sure what it is you're getting. However, with that being said there are those rare exceptions where it actually is an exceptionally good opportunity. Happy Mylotting!

I've not found a scam so far and I've been buying from infomercials since they started, years ago! I LOVE infomercials! and I've got all kinds of gadgets to prove it! the best places to get exercise equipment is from QVC... they really do work with their customers if there are any problems...... and YOU might even get to talk on TV.. which is cool at 4 am in the morning! hahaha! Don't buy from a infomercial until you have seen it a few times.. you miss a lot of detail in what you are interested in the first go around.. by the 2nd or 3rd viewing you can pretty much tell what's junk and what isn't. now, get that credit card out and shop, girl!

My husband and I bought a few things from infomercials, though not many. One thing we bought was a Ronco food dehydrator some years ago. We never had one and it looked like it worked great! So we called the 1 800 number on the screen. We never had any problems with it, but we eventually bought a different brand from Wal-Mart and I like it better. It does it's job in half the time and there is no need to rotate the tray's like I had to with the Ronco. But if I remember right the Ronco supposedly used less electricity so that is why it took longer. Not everything out there is a scam, but we do have to be careful! Good luck!

I have bought a lot of stuff from QVC, HSN and Infomercials and not all of them are scams. What you do is do your research on the product. Now I have a Pediegg and it actually works really well. Another thing I bought was a TotalGym and I love it! I bought Core Rhythms DVD's great ab workout without doing crunches. I've bought a lot of stuff. Honestly I'm trying to think of things that I bought that I didn't like and I honestly can't think of any. I also bought that hair product Wen and I love it!! There's just too many to list that I have bought.... Oh wait I bought "The Bean" and it was ok. I mean it works it does great for the abs and pilates but if your wearing just your sports bra you end up sticking to it most of the time. But I never returned it. That's the worst thing that I can think of that I bought. I hope that helps ya and if you have any questiosn feel free to ask!

Never bought anything on one of those programs. More times than not they are luxury items that I do not need. And by the time you pay for shipping, you could have got the item locally cheaper.
