For Christmas Santa decided to bring my son RockBand 2 for the Wii. So far I've found this Wii game absolutely amazing! I really enjoy playing this game with my son as we take turns using the drums and the microphone. We will take turns doing two songs each in a row. We need batteries for the guitar but that will come in time. We're having so much fun just using the drums and microphone. The songs that are on this game are pretty good. Some songs I recognize and others I've never heard before so it makes the vocals tough because I don't know what tone to sing at but I usually just hum them then. As for the tour goals, they are fun as well. I really like Rockband 2 better than Rockband 1. Have you played this game yet? What do you think about it?

Actually I really want to get this. My wife keeps saying we'll get it but we haven't yet. I think it would be a lot of fun. Right now we have Guitar Hero and she plays that on the guitar. And she does pretty good on easy. Honestly I'm not a big fan of the guitar. She makes it look so easy but I still have a hard time with it. I think I'd do better on the drums. Plus there's only four drums and of course the middle one. But it'd be easier to use the sticks with two hands and than my foot for the other one. So I think it would be easier to play. Or so I think. I'm hoping to buy one this year. Maybe she'll get it for my birthday in March. I sure hope so anyways. I'm not sure if the mircrophone will get much use though. Yeah do you have to use the microphone or is that optional too?

The first time I played, hubby and I went and bought the first Rockband and stayed up all night having a few drinks and fun playing this. We took turns using the drums, microphone and guitar. Our rule was that whoever played the guitar had to sing also, so it was quite a challenge for us but really fun. This year for christmas we bought my son Rockband 2, and so far I find that this one is better than the first game. My son and I only have used the microphone and drums for this one so far because we now need new batteries for the guitar. We have just just using the mic and drums though. I know forsure that on the first Rockband they had a trainers section so if you're not sure of what you're doing, I would check that out before you move onto any songs. It's a step by step lesson on how to use the drums so you don't start the game and think it's too overwhelming. I think it's worth the buy and we enjoy playing it whenever we can. Thanks for your comment Have a nice day

No, I can't say that I have. I haven't played any of them. I've heard the games are pretty good...and expensive. In my dinky little apartment, I'd have a hard time deciding where to put all the accessories.

The first RockBand actually dropped down in price quite a bit. When I bought it, it was about $189.99 here in Canada and now it's $99.99. I'm sure you could find somewhere to store it in your apartment. When we bought it, we kept it in the living room and we had a small house so the livingroom wasn't all that big. I suggest if you have a friend that has this game then make a night and plan a visit, try it and see if you like it. If you do then maybe concider buying one. I'm sure you could use money for other things that you really need but the whole reason in the first place why I bought it is because my son really really really wanted it and suckered me into buying it.
