Yes ofcourse the prices are falling but I can't believe a 50% fall in price in 3 days... something is surely wrong somewhere... Either you where overcharged or you friend might have got a duplicate pen drive of the same kind... Because 50% fall in 3 days is just impossible. I think you where overcharged when you bought the drive because I have not heard much problems about duplicate pen drives. Here in India, you can get all sort of duplicate things but getting a duplicate pen drive is not at all possible because these drives already cost very less. By the why, which pen drive did you buy and what is the size?

The prices of flash memory is falling tremendously because the cost to produce them is also going down. Apart from the fact that retailers are lowering prices in all areas, new technology makes manufacturing the products cheaper. I bought a 1GB USB flash drive for almost $50 three years ago and now you can get 4GB flash drives for $10.

It's good that prices for computer and other electronic equipment are falling so drastically. My husband is in need of a new computer, and budgetwise it's difficult, but he needs one just the same, so not getting him one is really not an option. it's nice to see the sales and specials out there. Here's hoping we will be able to get him one before too long.

Hey, Yep, you said it dinhquanghuy! The prices of computer equipment is falling down TOO fast. I remember about 5 years ago I bought a 128 MB (NOTE: it says MB not GB) USB for a tramendous amount of $40. This is a measly 128MB people! At that time at school the teachers had something like 512MB USB drives (which then costed over $100). Back then I thought to myself "MAN! 512MB is a huge amount of memory. Why would you need any more?". How wrong I was. I also bought a 4GB USB a few years ago for $99 and thought that it was a bargain. Again I was wrong. Now these days you can get 16GB USB drives for only like $30 at most (please correct me if I am wrong). Same with laptops, projectors, desktops, everything! Even TV's! Most of the things you can think of that relate to I.T have fallen in price over the past years!
