'Patience is a Virtue' vs. ' Time is Gold': which do you prefer?

We are all familiar with these famous quotes or philosophies. 'Patience is a virtue' talks about having to wait for God's timing in giving us what we want. For me, it gives me the courage to really wait for the right time or opportunity that will come. 'Time is gold', now, talks about grabbing that opportunity when no one holds of it. You really get what you want if you'll work hard for it. You value each second that you're living here on earth. Furthermore, you don't waste your time. I thought of these differences just some days ago, and I wonder which is really my choice. Of what I am used to do, maybe I'll just stick to 'Patience is a virtue' philosophy. Yeah, it's really worth trying if you grab opportunities that God has given to you; but, He also has plans for you. We'll just wait for Him and trust Him of His plans. So guys, have you ever really wondered on this thing? Now, which would you prefer: Patience is virtue, or Time is gold? My opinion above isn't really good, but I know you know what I mean. :)

Hi adenkay This is a good discussion, I must appreciate. And a hard one! I think, a balance between the two would be a good choice. There is a limit to patience and we have to grab one of the many opportunities using our brains for it could just be the last one in life! I think, we must be poised and have a right kind pf thinking pattern to make the right choices in life. It's tough but not impossible. Have a great day.

"Patience is a virtue" yes it is and to be patience means to be virtuous, but patience is time consuming and "time is gold." So, patience is linked to time. So, i would prefer "time." Each and every second that run past you is a time lost and it cant be recovered, its i irreversible. So my suggestion is that, you will have to maintain your patience and do whatever you have to do with out wasting your time. Both must go hand to hand. Do i sound confusing, LOL

I like that patience is a virtue because it is so true when I think about it. It is a great adage to live by. Sometimes it is not easy to have patience and wait for something however good things can come to those that wait and show some tolerance.
