My parents are my neighbors, so they will help me when they can and I help them as well. It's nice living next door to my mom and dad.

We are always helping each other. I do for them and they do for me. Although I would do for them even if they never did anything for me. I love my parents!

If my neighbors needed help I would help them if they needed. I will tell you I do not know if they would help me or not. I do not know them well enough they work all the time and then have company all the time so I do not know.

My across the street neighbor helped me out when I ran out of gas, he's a really nice guy. He helped us get something into the house once and when UPS recently mis-delivered something to my house, he took it down the street to the correct address. The ones on the one side I don't think speak much English and the lady on the other is seldom home, tho when we had a cat escape, she let us into her back yard to catch the cats. She also let us back then when Sassy would get out because Sassy liked to get into her greenhouse. But since the roomie's nephew isn't here, we don't have the escapes anymore like we did.

I am fortunate to have friendly, helpfull and compasionate neightbours. We all know each other in the part of the street we live in and being at the end of a cul-de-sac it is easy to know who should be there and who not. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and our next door neighbours helped with looking after the children when my wife had to take me for treatment. When my car did not want to work they borrowed me one of theirs and they provided many a meal to our family when my treatment were late afternoon and there was no time to prepare a meal ourselves. We reciprocate where possible and have also looked after their boys when required, watched their house when they are on holiday and provided meals when they experienced a crisis. It is great to live amongs neighbours who are always willing to help each other and look out for each other.

I don't know my neighbors very well, but we do speak when we see each other outside. My husband and I keep to ourselves for the most part, but are friendly when we see others out and about. My husband travels a lot for work and during the wild fires in California he was overseas in Hong Kong. Neighborhoods near by were getting evacuated and I was so scared that I would have to evacuate as well. I've never driven on the freeways in California and I don't have friends or family that I could stay with. My 2 dogs are not well behaved in the car and I was so stressed out that I would have to drive for the first time with 2 naughty dogs jumping all over me. I was also afraid that I wouldn't hear the evacuation calls if I was in the shower or asleep. I finally had to walk over to my neighbors house and ask them to make sure I get out of my house if we got evacuated. They were so nice and told me that they will pound on my door until I get out and that I could either go with them or follow them to the shelter. I was still very scared, but I felt a little better knowing that my neighbors would help me out if I needed it.

they do help us out in critical situations. My family has been living in the same neighborhood for almost 20 years, and we're lucky that its also a pretty tight-knit community, always ready to lend a helping hand.. this quality shows a lot specially during typhoons which we get a lot in our place, we help out each other in preparing before the typhoon and repairing after the typhoon.

NO, I'm lucky if my neighbors even speak to me, everyone kind of just stays to their selves around my neighborhood.
