What is your new year RESOLUTION??

I made a resolution about 30 years ago, and it is one that I have kept for all these years. I resolved not to make resolutions! I set goals for myself, and I set them up in a way that they are easy to obtain. I have watched friends make resolutions and get down on themselves for not sticking to them. I tried to get across to them that rather than resolving to do something, set a goal for yourself and work towards it...it doesn't seem quite as dire if you don't reach the goal than if you break a resolution. Reading this it sounds kind of silly, but I found that it works for me. My goals for the year are to remodel the kitchen, renovate the bathroom, replace the car port roof and the deck and paint the house. Each time I reach a goal it's crossed off the list and I feel really good about obtaining the goal.
