Tomorrow is my birthday...

I will be turning 48 tomorrow but I still don't know how to celebrate it. Well, the truth is I don't really give my birthday much thought. I just cook something for us to share. Usually with my son, my sister and her kids. So there's not so much every time I have my birthday.
This is the first birthday that I have since I joined mylot and I want some good advice from co-mylotters. What could you possibly advise to a 48 year old woman? I am still single but I have a grown up child and I enjoy living my simple life. Any good advise to spice up my life???? Thanks.

Twelve-year is a cycle in Chinese custom.So you are in your forth cycle and you can start as a new beginning. Congratulations!
No matter how you celebrate your birthday, it's always important to enjoy it with your family and best friends. Maybe you can hold a party~~~~~

Hey I wasn't aware of that cycle. Thank you for reminding me. I used to watch my future through Chinese astrology but I got tired of it. now that you reminded me, I am so happy about it. I hope this year will be good for me as I am also a rat and rat people are lucky this year according to astrologers. Cheers!!!

Hello, Happy Birthday to you. Maybe you can do singing in karaoke with your family. We usually do that here, just simply cook food at home and then we do videoke and its very fun or sometimes we cook food at home and bring it on the beach and there we celebrate together with the family. Its not really extravagant, what important is you have good health and that you have your family.

If you your sons knows that tomorrow is your birth day means he should make all arrangements for you.For you you take them out for dinner or prepare a very good dish at home which they like.

My son is seventeen and is not so responsible. My fault cause i spoiled him. Anyway thank you. My birthday is finished and I am now at home mylotting again.

If you ask me how to celebrate birthday then i would say that 1st of remember your past year and try to find out your big mistakes and bad habits and then take a pledge
for not doing it again. Secondly the best way to celebrate ur birthday is that you go and help the poor and needy becoz if u throw parties and go to movies then it would give u happiness only for a day or 2. But if u help poor and needy then their blessings would not only help in bad times but would also make u able to face the day of judgment before God. And it would also give u internal peace.

Happy happy birthday. Well my mom likes keeping her birthday simple. Sometimes she eats out to celebrate her birthday or do something special for herself like go to a spa, have a makeover or something. When she would just like to keep things simple she cooks.

That was great for your mom. Sometimes moms do things to treat themselves and relax from hard work they have done for their kids. I'd do that one time and see how going to spa feels. I bet that's a real treat for a tired body. HMMMMM
