I used to sell on ebay all the time. It was my first try at making money from home (I am a stay at home / work at home mom). I now do something else, but I still plan on shopping on ebay soon. I hope to find some good Christmas shopping deals on there.

I never tried becoz many ppl selling fake goods there

If you use your common sense, you can avoid this. If you see designer goods for a very very cheap price that don't show the labels, you can be sure it's cheap. If someone actually shows certification of genuine labels, you can usually judge it for yourself.

I do both, but sometimes people suck! I've only had one problem buying but I've had lots of problems selling. People always ask you to bend your requirements. I even had one person ask me to lower the price after she had already bid and won the auction.

I have experienced that too. One girl charged me about 5 pounds postage, which I though was fair enough until the package turnd up and the item was way lighter than I expected and she'd put in in a paper envelope! She left me bad feedback for apparently 'complaining about postage after I'd bought the item!'. I only emailed her and commented that she'd over charged!

I have bought and sold on ebay,I prefer to buy selling has alot of crap involved, and you really have to deal with people who dont want to pay, and all that kinda crap.

I buy and sell on Ebay. I only really sell things that are worthwhile selling like computer parts or anything that will make a bit of money. I find Ebay great for buying unusual things from abroad that I wouldn't usually find in the UK. I bought a glasses case from China covered in silk which was gorgeous for about 3 pounds! It's great for finding things like old books which aren't in the shops any more too. I've found lots of books from my childhood which I didn't think I'd get anywhere! You have to be careful of the people who try and rip you off with postage though.

So far I have only bought things off eBay but plan to start selling next year. I have so much stuff in good condition that we no longer need or use and think that it is time I offloaded some of it. In fact some of the things are brand new so it seems a shame to have them gathering dust when I can make some money by selling them. Just got to get the time frame right, as we are planning a couple of trips for next year. LOL I have bought things for my collections, i.e. tennis/hostess sets as well as apostle spoons, as well as things to use as Christmas present for friends.

I don't sell on Ebay but I do buy a lot of things from Ebay. Ebay is great I love it! The most I buy from Ebay is scrub tops for work. I work in a hospital so I buy a ton of those. I also buy a lot of children's clothes for my grandchildren. They are brand new clothes never worn and for cheap prices.

I have done both. I actually have a lot of items here I need to think about listing on Ebay for the Holidays. Like Computer games, Xbox games, and more.

Its a great way to sell off items no longer needed. Better than a garage sale as dont have to stand outside all day

I did last year. I bought and sold PS2 and Xbox games and actually made some profit. But I had to stop it as I live in a block of flats and one of my neighbours kept stealing the games when they arrived :( I'll be starting it again as soon as I move.
