I suppose I will have to reserve judgment until I see him acting. However, he looks so young! I would have liked the new Doctor to look different than the previous one also. This Matt Smith looks similar to David. I guess I would have liked it if the rumor that it was going to be Patterson Joseph had been true. All that being said, I wish this young man the best of luck with a very tough role and can't wait to see what he brings to it.

It is very disappointing to me that just because I live in the US, I can't watch the interview (or any other content) on the BBC websites.

I've not seen this guy before either & I agree, he does look like David, who is a hard act to follow. But I wish him luck, thanks for posting :)

He's only been in a couple of things on UK TV and I watched neither of them so have no idea how he'll be as the doctor, although in the interview I could see why they chose him as he has an eccentric look and mannerism which could make him a good doctor. It's always tough for a new doctor but I can't think of any doctor I haven't liked eventually.

I'd seen David Tennant in Casanova and a few scottish dramas from a few years back so knew who he was but this new guy is so new. We'll just have to wait and see.
