Well, I did it I'm done with the afghan I started. It was only going to be a lap afghan but turned into more of a twin bed plus. got a little carried away. But that is ok everyone wants it. Well, I'm giving it to my son as he loves my afghans as he has them all over his room. One on a stand one on the end of the bed as he say's for looks. And then one that covers his chair. He said he needed a new one as he needed to cover up with something. I just smiled and said ok. I'm going to start some for the vets I think. So are you done with your? I would show you a pic. But have no camera. You all have a wonderful day/night.

I'm not all that good at it. I just like doing it so I don't smoke or yell. As it makes me feel happy. You know how it goes when your old cold and broke. I liked that just came to mind. I get the yarn on sale or sometimes at the thift store. So they are of all colors sometimes. My great niece said it is mixed like me. And dwon't share it with her Mom told her get your own. That is my warmer. You have a great day.

Yes, I finished an afghan that I made queen sized topper size ! Whew! Thought I would never get through. I like how it turned out but we SO glad it was done and over. Don't know if I will do another one that large. It becomes heavy as you work on it and a little hard to handle being that big.

I'm almost done with a new one it is a lap afgan. Well, it mite get bigger they always do. If it gets to fit a twin bed I will give to the homeless shelter. YOu have a great day.

Oh wow! The homeless shelter is going t love hearing from you! I volunteer at our local homeless shelter a few times thorughout the month serving meals, cleaning, babysitting or whatever they need and I have the time. They would love to have them. There was a baby there once that had reflux problems and had to sleep on this wedge thing. Me and a friend inspected it and decided we were going to make them. They were just wedges of styrofoam with a harness type thing sewed onto them to keep the baby upright during sleeping. We took so many of those things to hospitals and childrens homes it was unbelievable. We got donations from fabric stores ( not many of those left anymore around here) and we sewed til we thought our hands would fall off. After a while we taught these teenagers in our youth group how to make them and now we just go and get them donations or we buy the stuff when they get an order for them. I am sure the vets or the homeless will love you!

Here is the funny part everytime I start one for them one of my family members ask for one as they have no afghans. My little great nieces got one. And made one for my nephew as he lost his job and they turned the heat way down so gave one to each of them. Now I can hopefully start for the rest of the homeless or ones in need of one. We crochet for the neonatal babies at 4 local hospitals and also for Disaster Relief which sends out supplies after tornadoes , hurricanes,etc... There are SO many worthy charities that are in need and more to come with the economy as is. Good luck with your endeavors! You may never know what an infleunce you made on someones lives!
