As I've written in the past about the demise of Ciao and how it's all our fault. And I just want to address mylotters about Comparedby.us I really can't help but feel anger at the greed of some people and posting on mylot just fuels that anger. I'm not saying all mylotters who write reviews are spammers or plagiarists, but I can't help but see how mylotters who posted things like "Where's my money?" or "They stole my money by blah blah blah..." are so crass and the their greed is just so out of hand. People, CHILL and please get a life! First of all, when you sign up with comparedbyus, you probably agreed to terms and agreement. Now while I'm certainly not one of the people who read these carefully, I can take a good guess that one of the things I agreed on was it is THEIR site and they are free to change their terms as they see fit. Some websites may use this to get free reviews and if comparedby.us turns out to be a great big scam to get us to write reviews without paying us, then we, the users, can report them as violating the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. What this says basically, is that if we honestly wrote our reviews, then we OWN it, unless we are fully compensated for them. Google, in particular, is very vigilant and will remove the site from their index if they find any violation. Can you imagine a site being erased by Google or Yahoo? That would be like dying on the internet and that website would no longer be able to earn any money. I think it's great that they removed the review ratings earnings. Of course they were quite naive, expecting people would really read reviews, when I would bet that 90% use this to make money without writing reviews - and people posting here on mylot only proves this point. People who put up sites like this don't realize that some people use these sites as a way to make a full time living. Sad? Yes, but that's the reality of the global economy. For example, a third world white collar (office) worker could make about $10 a day. If that worker made 20 reviews in one day, he or she could double his or her salary, without breaking a sweat! Ad another thing, as much as I hate to say it as I myself am bi-lingual, these are english review sites! People who cannot even put a coherent sentence together should not post on these sites. Let's hope that things will be back to normal on Monday. And, like I said, get a life - go out and enjoy the sunshine - and stop being so greedy.

Good point of yours. As I have noticed most complains came from thiodr people who just rated a review. i saw one member who earned 40 dollars just by rating. i'm sure he is really really mad because all his money has been taken by site. it would be unfair to the site if they will just recieve rates not reviews. it is a good decision for them removing the cents for every rating. it only means to say that many members are spamming the site. i also saw some members who just copied their reviews from other review sites, which is really unfair. i just got no time of reporting them to the admin.i hope everything will be alright bu monday. thanks for voicing out.
