hey guys, People keep saying that we shud travel more by public transport than by our own vehicle because it lessens pollution, but whatever they say , i prefer my own vehicle. It helps me in many ways. If I change my plan , I can just turn around and head the other way. I don't have to wait at the bus stop.I don't have to listen to unnecessary discusions going on near me.I can drive at any speed depending on my mood. Like these, there are many other advantages. What about you guys? What is ur take on this?

I do agree that your own vehicle has many advantages over the public transport system. However, it is the other way round in many cases too. The biggest advantage is that if you are travelling by the public transport vehicle, then you need not worry too much about the traffic problems. You can sit at ease and shut your eyes. This gives rest to you. In my city the public transport system is not so good. But there are cities where I love to use public vehicles because these services are excellant and they reach to any part of the city with good number of frequency in each area.

yeah. i also think that public transport has its own advantages. You even get to meet and know new people there. traffic is certainly one of the major cause to use them !

I use both. my hubby sends me off in the morning to the train station thru our personal vehicle, then i take the train to work because it's more convenient and faster than risking my way amid traffic and all delaying matters. Then in the afternoon,he fetches me on the spot where he last saw me in the morning.
