Why do you play PC, WII, PS3, XBOX, and Online Games?

I like playing all kinds of computer games. Some of my favorite titles are Diablo, Grandia series, all Command & Conquer games, Warcraft series, StarCraft, Flyff, Perfect World, FreeStyle, CrazyKart, Ikariam, Freedom Force series, Battle For Middle Earth series, and Shining Force.
My motivations for playing the game are:
Passing time, Enjoying, Beating the game, and Beating my friends.
How about you? Why do you like playing games?

It's fun to do all the things that you can't do in real life and it's extremely addicting. It's good to have hobbies and it's a good hobby to have. It keeps a person out of trouble and keeps your mind occupied so you don't get all depressed.

I agree that you can use games to distract you so you wont get depressed or bored. I do that sometimes.
