For me, we cant judge the person from the grades and the marks they get. Because there are successful people in the world that dont excel in school but is very successful in handling a business. . . some may not be goo din running a businees but may be good in a different aspect of what we called life.

The only judgments that can be made on this basis have to do with how well you did on the test or class being graded.

I read a book which talks about the like this discussion. It is said on the book that a person can do MORE than his scorecard, or class card shows. These things are produced because it is what the society accepts, it is how you are measured as a person. Most of us believes that when a person has high grades, the person knows has to do more, or is capable of doing more. This is what I believe as a misconception and should be changed. But of course it is hard, since black and white is needed so we can measure up what they call "capability".

Hi henahuda, grades or marks are a outcome of so many factors and chances. It is combination of so many ifs and buts. Grades are not even the measurement of ones knowledge of the subject as there are so many students with sound knowledge and poor grades. A persons capability one the other hand is a combination of all aspects of the person's personality. Grades are no measure of it. But in most cases grades are taken as the measure and that is wholly wrong. Good luck..

Hi, I have known some extermely intelligent people before but lacked comon sense. Book smart doesn't mean smart on everything a person does. My mom can attest to that. She only took a few college courses but she has worked in the same field for years and knows her job very well. She excells in her field.

Not necessarily. I had a very dear friend who was a nurse aide for many many years. She had as much knowledge as any registered nurse she ever worked with, but she couldn't take a test. If she knew it was a test, she just froze. Many people have a great deal of knowledge and ability, but aren't able to put it down on paper.
