What Star Wars Film Have You Enjoyed The Most?

I absolutely LOVE Star Wars and I have lost count the amount of times I have seen all six films now Over the Christmas and New Year period I had a wonderful Star Wars marathon! Sitting in my bedroom with the lights out and a nice big screen to watch Episodes 1, 2 and 3 with a drink and nibbles, it was just like the movies (without anyone to disturb me, mobile phones going off or people arriving late!) I never get bored with watching them, I actually went to the cinema to see the final piece of the puzzle, the most tear-jerking of all the three films Revenge of the Sith, yes I know I did shed a few tears, how that lovely little lad Anakin turned into the most evil and hated man in the Galaxy and when poor Padme died with a broken heart, it was time to reach for the mansize! So which of the six Star Wars films did you enjoy the most and why? Episode 1 'Phantom Menace' Episode 2 'Attack of the Clones' Episode 3 'Revenge of the Sith' Episode 4 'A New Hope' Episode 5 'The Empire Strikes Back' Episode 6 'Return Of The Jedi' And who is your favourite character and your worst character? I can't help but like R2D2 and I couldn't stand Jar Jar Binks he was so irritating!

I have to admit that I was a Star Wars junkie at one point. I've watched them all and I still love the first one. I think it's because I've watched interviews with all the actors/actresses and how this movie even came about. No budget, short on supplies - they didn't even know if the movie would make it and look where it is now. Star Wars mania. I love them all, but the first one is the one that I admire the most. Because it came out of nowhere with little to no funding and became an absolute smash hit. Kind of like rooting for the underdog, which in all reality, is what the series is all about isn't it.

Exactly! Even though it was made in the 70s it still hasn't dated that much and even in another thirty times it will still be watched and loved and appreciated.

See that's the thing, it wasn't dated, it was ahead of the times. It was a risk really thus the lack in funding. I think out of the series, nothing compares the first, the original. That is where the story all began.

True I agree with this. George Lucas considered the story as a reflection of his own rebellion against the studios in Hollywood. That's what made the first trilogy special; just like The Matrix, the movie started out as a low-budget, personally-financed venture that succeeded. You have the DVD "Empire of Dreams" kprofgames?

My sons love the first three episodes, but I would pick the last three. Probably cause I was a fan as a child of those ones and they watched the first three ones more. They also love the characters of them more like general grievous while I loved darth vader. We have recently done a marathon of them as well and really enjoyed ourselves. I also go a book from amazon for free with online gift certificates that is a clear guide to all the episodes which I gave my son for christmas. But mostly so that my daughter can look at it to finally understand the movies. LOL Also their favorite video games this Christmas where both these three different star wars games that we have been spending many hours playing.

Wonderful to hear someone who appreciates Star Wars as much as me, what is the book my friend, because I have some Amazon vouchers I could use, I would like a comprehensive book that covered all 6 films instead of buying them individually. I was brought up on the original episodes 4-6 but I do prefer the first three episodes, mainly because of the special affects but also because they complete the whole story. General Grievous I found annoying and with that irritating cough reminding me of my father who had one, I found it strange that a robot had a cough???? Enjoyed reading your response, may the force be with you, the force is strong in you!

I have never understand the star wars episodes. I must admit that I am not a fan of science fiction let alone of star wars. I tried to follow some episodes but since they are not my type of genre that I like, I always switched off to another channel. (c) ronaldinu 2009 - the more people I meet-the more I love my dog

Ah makes a big difference, need to enjoy and appreciate sci-fi in the first place but I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. There are some genres I can't watch because they don't do anything for me!

I just love Episode 4, 5 & 6. I grew up on them. I don't like Jarjar either because i just find him ugly. LOL! My favorite character is Obi Wan and Yoda. I love their constancy and they gave the movie sense of hope. It makes one think as long as there are good 'people', there is hope. Thought I find the episode 3 to be most tragic because and sad seeing a handsome and promising jedi turn bad but it ended with hope with the children.

That was cute at the end with little Luke and Leia and seeing them before they were big in Star Wars!

I think Luke was more liked as a youngster than Anakin, Anakin was a bit whining and his constant moaning did get on your nerves, I want, I want, probably like a typical teenager, whereas Luke quickly jumped into adulthood and was far more mature of the two.

I enjoyed Revenge of the Sith best. I felt like it was the climax of the entire saga, the one part where everything falls into place and opens the way for the older trilogy. Merits include its wonderful special effects and fighting scenes. I didn't like the acting, but the merits made up well for it anyhow. Cheers~

Wolfie I know you were in your glory! A Star Wars Marathon, who can ask for anything more. Hahaha I have a lot of catching up to do, I missed most of them. Like you said, those are the kind of movies that you want to watch and not be disturbed so you can follow the story line and really enjoy it.

Star Wars - Star Wars is a classical movie
I know you are a big fan of Star Wars. Star Wars is a very classical science fiction movie. It is even not outdated when we watch it today. So I really appreciate to its imagination. I especially enjoy watching A New Hope. As I have watched it from TV many times when I was a child. So I have a deep impression to it. What a coincidence as I also like R2D2. I wish I could have a robot like that:) I love China

Hi there wolfie34 I don't think I have seen them enough times to be able to pass judgement on which one is the best and I have not as yet seen all of them. I think it is only the last one I haven't seen. I would have to go for the first one as I think that it is the one I have seen the most and probably enjoyed the most too! I must admit that I liked Hans Solo as Harrison Ford was so hunking in the Star Wars movies!!

I know you sat your children down to watch Laurel and Hardy, do you think they'd enjoy Star Wars? That way you'll get to watch them too! Shame we didn't live closer I'd happily lend you all 6 episodes if you have the time and the inclination ;0)

My eldest is into Star Wars like a lot of kids at school but he has seen a couple of the films, my mum has got them on video He actually got some Star Wars lego for Crimbo and that was the first thing he actually went off and played with umongst all his gifts including the ds I bought him. My mum has got him one of those Star Wars helmets that changes your voice for his birthday on Tuesday. I will get around to buying all the films one day but I don't think the youngest is old enough for them just yet but I know he has watched one of them already with his brother!

"Revenge of the Sith" is definitely my favorite out of the six. I confess that the first time I saw it, it scared the dickens out of me--I felt like someone had kicked me in the stomach after it was over. Very rarely does a movie make me go all numb and panicky, but that one did. It's weird...ROTS is my favorite movie, but I watch it very rarely because of the effect it has on me. lol

I love the all the Star Wars sequels. All are lovely. But the sequels that touched me were episodes II and III wherein it depicts the transition of Anakin Skywalker from Good to Bad. And the factors that affected it. I also love how Master Yoda explained how FEAR affects our lives. And also the tragic loss of our dear Amidala. I love the movie. I'll watch it again now. :)

I don't exactly have a favourite out of all the films cos I love them all! I love The Force Awakens too! My favourite characters are Chewie and BB-8, the characters I dislike are Jar Jar Binks and Jabba The Hutt (I find it really gross *cringes*).
