Have ever written a poem for your loved one?

Writing poems is not an easy feat but I used to like this girl so much that I actually learned up how to write one! Actually, it's not that difficult since you just need to pour out your feelings. Have you ever done that before? Do you think you will actually take up the time to learn in order to please her/him or to show your feelings? This is the poem I wrote, just to share with you all. It might not be good since it's actually my first attempt. We used to look at the same sky, even though we were miles apart. We shared the same laughter and sorrow, even though you were always not by my side. And whenever you said you were lonely, I would accompany you, even though we were in different parts of the world. But that was how things used to be, and that was the end of our chapter. You've found your new love. I'm glad, though I'm also sad, that I wasn't the chosen one. Yet, you will still have my blessings. Sorry about the mistakes I've done in the past, sorry for the moments I've made you sad, and sorry for not being able to turn up, for the most important day of your life - your wedding. And as you can see, it's actually the end of our chapter. Knowing that it's already the end, I still wanted to write this poem for her. Maybe the outcome is not something I'm seeking, but the process? What about you? Do you have such experiences before? Have you written a poem for your loved one before or do something really special for him or her?

I have done it a lot of times. Girls tend to like it so much.

You must be a pro then. Did you learn it from somewhere or it come naturally?

I read and I like poetry also. But I am no pro. I just say what I need to say while trying to woo them with words. I follow the poetry rules as much as I can. But no, I'm not a pro.

i wrote a poem for my bf recently. it was part of a scrapbook that i made for him. it didn't take me long to write but when i was finished writing it i read it over and changed a few words to make it flow more freely. that was the hard part. i think that that particular poem wasn't hard to write because i was just expressing how i felt about him. he was very very please with the poem. that's actually his favorite part of the scrapbook. i was so happy that he liked it.

That's very sweet of you. Maybe I should do that to the girl I'm interested next time. Thanks for sharing this lovely story of yours.

I have written my boyfriend a poem. He has the copy and I don't even have a scratch paper of where I wrote it down first. It doesn't even rhyme! But he appreciated it and that's all that matters. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Most poems don't rhyme since they're from non-professional writers like ourselves but at the end of the day, it is the effort and the heart that counts. As long as you can splash out your feelings that way, I bet he'll love it. Haha.

Yes. Yes. I love writing and I do write poetry mostly from personal experiences. I have written many poems in the past for my H.S sweetheart. I was so in love and I wrote all the time...I'm a sucker for love and a hopeless romantic...

Nobody is a sucker in love I guess. It's just fate.
