Have you ever been responsible for a craze amongst friends and family?

I really hadn't intended on hooking my friends and family members on a really awesome video game device but it seems that I have done so. For Christmas, I saw a Nintendo DS gaming console that I wanted and received. After I got mine, my mother decided to purchase one and then my partner decided that she would like one as well. She bought a used one last night while we were shopping at the mall. She managed to get the last one left and she is quite happy with it. Now, she just told me her sister was playing with her system awhile ago and was quite entertained with it. It seems that by asking for and recieving one I've somehow hooked at least three people on the system and that wasn't my intention at all! Have you ever got friends or family members interested in something that you bought or recieved as a gift? What was it? Did it cause them to go out and buy one themselves?

Actually I was the first one to own a computer in my holler..then it seemed everyone seen how cool they are now there are atleast 2-3 in each house up my holler..kids have their own. I have several myself. It was that way with the Sega I bought a few years ago. Now everyone has one. I gave mine to my little sister last year because she was better at some of the games then I was and her only 7. I also bought her a playstation game since she loved mine so much as well and I got my nephews and nieces hooked on it. I have a Nintendo game boy advance but havne't bought a Nintendo DS yet but I have been wanting one for awhile now..I'm so jealous..lol They have great games and even cooking which is good. It is on my wish list so maybe I will get one.

This is my first new game console. I had all the old ones, the old nintendos and teh sega and I haven't had anything since. I decided that you know, it would probably be pretty neat to have and I saw they had this limited edition bundle thing on sale for the holidays and I really liked the color and what came with it so I decided that it would be cool to own. I really love how interactive the whole thing is. I think the cooking thing is one of the games I wouldn't mind having. I don't cook a lot and it would be a very interactive, helpful way to get me to try cooking new things in the kitchen.

I seen those bundles I think and that was a great deal but it was either gifts for the kids in the family(sister, nieces and nephews) or what I wanted and the kids always win out. I seen one that was pink I liked but would like a canary yellow or even a apple green one. I think the cooking will be a good help to all young and old. I think it will be also good for those learning to cook. Men and woman. I would love it if I had one and my hubby made me a special dinner. Well, play a game for me..lol My neices and nephew have nintendo DS and I play theirs on occasion. But then their is always ebay..so I think that is what I will do now..go seach ebay for a good deal..see now you have got me wanting one even more now...lol

LOL there are some pretty good deals on Ebay. I actually had my partner looking on Ebay at them for awhile before she made the decision to just buy one used from Gamestop.

Bull, you know it was your plot all a long. lol I don't think I've every convinced anyone to get something by getting a gift. At least I don't think so. I've never had much to have that any one wanted before.

I am the first one in my whole family to own a cell. My father was against it for years. I had one since I was 14. By the time I was 18 my father had gotten one. through out the years everyone except my mother has one.

Very cool. I've suggested stuff to people and every now and then they will take me up on the offer.
