Star Wars Fan out there, Do you think George Lucas should continue the Star Wars sequel after the Episode 6? or do you guys think it is a comfortable end for the Star Wars story line? For me, I think the episode 6 was ended nicely, but I would like to see more on the rebuilding of the Jedi community again under the leadership of Luke Skywalker. :-) Just my 2 cents. regards, aerobrain

It is kind of tough to say. I'm thinking, yub yub, because I want to see the rebuilding of the Jedi community. It may not happen anytime soon though. There is still one point that I never understood. That was why did he start with episode IV instead of the beginning. Those three that he started off with in 1977 had the most action & excitement, to George Lucas' opinion, anyway. He might have originally intended to just make movies out of only those three, & then that was it. Then someone, or someones, persuaded him to do the first three. Then to prepare the public for it, he had those three original movies re-done to rebuild fandom. What I am thinking is he may wait, have the technology to further enhance/improve I thru VI, & then utilize it. He's probably also probably planning to set it years later from the timeline of VI (Return of the Jedi), & is waiting for Mark Hammil, Harrison Ford, & Carrie Fisher to get to a certain age so he won't have to do as much to make them look older. Let's hope that those three are still alive around two decades from now is what's racing through my mind.

I think that George Lucas as retooled and reworked these movies so much that at this point I really hope he'll just leave Star Wars alone and let its legacy stand as it is. It seems that the more he tries to go back and improve the story, the more the fans are frustrated and disappointed with his efforts.

Read the Star Wars Novels! Han & Leia get married, and have 3 kids: twin Jania & Jacen, and Anakin. Luke gets married to a Mara Jade, and they have a son, Ben. Although I don't the particular arc was written that well, the Dark Empire of the comics was an interesting concpet, where Luke actually goes to the Dark Side! The first books I read was the Grand Admiral Thrawn books, a humanoid military genius, able to win battles simply by understanding a species culture!

I think Star Wars ended nicely with Episode 6. The prophesy was fulfilled and the empire was destroyed. I don't think you really need a new movie for the Star Wars story line to continue. It does sound like a good idea but I think after Episode 6, there are not too many sith lords left. If you're a gamer, you might want to try out Jedi Academy. It's a good game where Luke is rebuilding the Jedi community. You don't play as him but you do get to encounter him as the story progresses.

I would love to see the Thrawn trilogy made into movies myself. I just hope that if that ever happens, someone other than George Lucas writes the script. Hopefully they could bring Zahn in himself to help with the rewriting and all that, just so we don't see a repetition of the cheese that was the prequels. I loved the original trilogy, and the storyline behind the prequels was good, but Lucas just shouldn't be writing his own dialogue anymore.

There has never been a trilogy in Star Wars that ended in a comfortable place for most viewers. This was done so that it would keep the interest of the fans and hopefully get them reading the books to know what happens in the lifes of their favorite characters. So start reading there are about 300 books out there not counting comics, of which I know little. Beware: You can enjoy the saga for a long time to come if you just pick up a few of the books and you will get addicted to them and want to read more and more. I know I did, do and will.

I believe that Episode 6 was a very satisfying ending for the live action films. BUT the story does continue in the Dark Horse comics! Luke turns to the dark side then turns back, Leia and Han Solo get married and have kids, etc. As far as the movies go, knowing what is supposed to happen after Return of the Jedi, I want to see it in a live action movie!! But if that never happens, then yes, I agree that Return of the Jedi was a great ending to the story (if you can call it the end!)
