I have an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC, and I really like it. It has a wide screen that is ideal for watching movies, and a very stylish look to it. There's also and integrated webcam and microphone. I'm not sure how long the battery life is since I always have it on the charger. But, the rare times I do not have it hooked up, it seems to last fairly well if the settings are properly adjusted to power saver. I don't really like the quick launch buttons at above the keyboard since they do not respond all the time. They're not regular buttons but just like a touch pad type thing. The sound isn't always as loud as I want it to be, but usually I'll just hook it up to different speakers if this happens. Lastly, it's not meant to be lightweight for business of college so I don't carry it around too much. What are the pros and cons of your laptop?

I usually do not respond to discussions about computers, because I don't really consider myself to be an expert in this area, but I just had to respond because I recently purchased an identical laptop to yours approximately a month ago. I think that I got a relatively good deal for it and I am more than happy with the display screen and all of the features that you've mentioned previously. Like you I find the quick launch buttons do not always respond. I thought perhaps it was me, but now I see it is not. The sound on the laptop is relatively low, however I purchased my laptop as part of a package that included, a docking station, a wireless mouse, a TV tuner that allows me to use my laptop as a PVR, and a headset. The volume on the laptop does not bother me as I usually have the headphones on, as I use speech recognition software. However, as you've already said it is easy to hook up alternate speakers as the plug in is right on the front. The weight is also not an issue for me because I'm using it as a replacement for a desktop computer and so I did not care about the weight and it's a good thing because I think we have one of the heaviest laptops going. I am not sure, if you bought the laptop alone or as part of a package deal but one of the huge selling points for me personally was the fact that I got a docking station as well, which gives me up to a total of 10 USB ports. The fact that our laptop and is considered to be an entertainment laptop and has 4 GB of RAM, was what finally tipped the scales and convinced me to make such a costly purchase just before Christmas. I am hopeful, that I will have enough memory to be able to meet all of my needs for now and if all goes well, quite a while into the future. Overall, I'm very happy with my laptop are you?

I didn't purchase mine with such a package, but it did interest me when I read in the manual that it is capable of being used as a television. It's my first laptop so I was overwhelmed with joy upon being able to buy it =] It's cool to know someone else can appreciate it. =]

I am using a IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T60, which is actually a company laptop. I think it's pretty good, though I have been using it for about two years, the performance and battery life is still quite satisfactory. Of course, if I have more harddisk space with the laptop, then it'll be better for me to store more songs and pictures in it. It is quite light, so I can always carry it around, from office to home. Actually I have not really find any disadvantages of this laptop, or perhaps the only disadvantage is that the design is not stylish, but it is good for business use.

That sounds like a sufficient laptop =] lightweight business laptops really do interest me since it's always cool to see how companies can innovate new technology that is more user friendly. Although I do like the design of my laptop I'm pretty sure I'd still love it even if it weren't as appealing to the eye =]

Hi, For me, I dislike the LCD of laptop because the LCD is easily broken. For my laptop, the back panel of the LCD is quite weak. So, everytime I bring it out, the LCD is not very much protected by the back panel. If I am not careful, I might get my laptop knocks on doors or people walking nearby. So, the LCd is easily broken. Now, my laptop LCD having some problems. It is unable to display colors properly and sometimes the color shown on the LCD is wrong.

I have an older Toshiba SatellitePro and I love it for watching movies as well. The one great irritant of this laptop is it's battery. For some reason even though I keep purchasing a new battery directly from the company it never fails to start shorting out and cutting to hibernate mode too much sometimes.

I love my laptop! Pros: small and lightweight for easy carrying around, enough space for everything I need, it has a webcam/micropone, and DVD/CD player. Cons: the battery life isn't great and it get's a bit too hot and needs a cooling fan.

As such there is no problem in using the laptop. But there are some major differences that may seem to be a problem for them who are more comfortable with desktops. Like I do not like the flat keys in the, and many a time a fumble for a much known key. And then i cannot play games much because of the need of an additional mouse. But then the screen resolution seems so perfect that watching a movie is a good experience in a laptop.

In fact I am satisfied with my laptop. But if you ask me the reason that I dislike it. Then I have to tell you one but this is not a reasonable reason:) I dislike that the hard disk it's big enough. I always have so many large files and I need a super large hard disk. But I know it will run out soon:) I love China

I own a Compaq and so far it is giving me what I need. On the upside, it has a big disk space (at 250G), it is relatively faster than my brothers' pcs, i can bring it anywhere since it's lightweight and small. On the downside, it's speakers are hideous (i need a good headphone just to get that nice audio), battery goes down easily and that's on Power Saver, and I can't play most online games because it's graphics won't accommodate it.

I've been using an old school laptop for years(Toshiba Portege 7010CT). It was a birthday present from hubby.. I've never had problems with it but what i dislike about my notebook is the slow video card and poor battery life.. I have plans of buying a new one and hopefully my budget permits me to do so..=)

I have Acer Ferrari 4000, AMD turion 64 mobile technology laptop. The best thing of this laptop is that it has a very good looking body, with a original ferrari logo on it. And the body is of carbon fiber which really looks very good. The screen is 15.4 inch and is very good for watching movies. i like the keyboard keys and the mouse pad because the control over the courser is very good. BUT ... The looks are good but there are few problems in it. The worst thing is that it usually gets very hot when heavy applications are running like games and when it goes really hot it suddenly turns off. There are few file formats such as .flv format, when ever i play this format it gets very hot and turns off. IT blows very hot air out. there are also some more problems like i think its ram needs to be replaced i mean overall i did not have good experience with it. I am planning to change it. hope i will get a better laptop next time. keep smiling

I love my laptop to be portable and the soft and low profile keypad. The problem with my laptop is the limited graphic performance that affects game play. The limited HDD space limited the number of files and programmes that I can install on my Laptop. It keyboard is small and I feel that my hands are restricted from large movements. Most importantly, I cannot get used to the 14.1" screen. I am more comfortable with 17" and above for my viewing pleasure. Cheers and Happy MyLotting...

I dislike the fact that when I purchased my HP Pav DV2120us there was already a recall from HP on the computer, Therefore Staplel(where I bought it) offered me the extended warranty and of course I purchased it. Well I did not know that the monitor on my notebook had a recall, it kept blacking out, anyway to make a long stressful story short Staples would not honor the warranty, and HP stated that the computer was over a year old, and they wanted $300.00 to fix it. When you trust a Company it is really sad when all they want is more of your money. Ok in the end the computer is fixed and it did not cost me anything. (Being very strict in your moirals, stating facts, and having reciepts works wonders. The computer is working well but unfortunately there are scratches on my notebook now from HP, I kept it covered and protected. Sarafina50

I have a really old laptop, cause I use my computer all the time. The display of my laptop is broken, so i can only see the upper half of the display. That kinda pisses me off. Plus it's really heavy. Would you use a broke laptop if you had a way better computer? Hehe, i don't think so. But i have to say that a laptop looks way better than a computer, cause it isn't that big and you can sit and work with it wherever you want. Damn.... why don't I have a nice laptop? :D

I am using Compaq V6500, AMD 64x2 processor (Athlon). Everything is nice and sweet until you consider an entertainment laptop. But, you know, I am a game addicted personality, just can't imagine to sit and do nothing without playing game, even when exams are wandering over my head and I know nothing. I bought this one because it was the only on my budget that have 12b MB graphics card that could enable me to play high-end games. Ironically, I told my father that I'll be using it for my graphic designing work. I only crave for more speedy and and more advanced graphic card, space is not a problem for me. I'll soon buy a gaming laptop, ASAP.
