How many of us save on our monthly incomes, at this time when the economy is depressing and jobs are tough if we save a part of our earnings then it will be of great help

I had a good teacher when it comes to saving, my mum always taught me even from a child to put a little something by, and even when I was earning my very first wage I managed to put some cash away each month and I have done this all my life and I have been so glad I did this because I went back to college and gave up work, with the savings I had I was able to support myself through college without relying on any help, I was fully self-sufficient. I will continue to save because you never know what's around the corner in life.

i think saving is a great thing to survive well in future because if we save today something then only our future will be secure because if some time any accident happen to us and we did not earn anything we will die with out any saving or else we have to borrow so for securing future it is better to save if possible

hi rubypatson! well yeah, i do save. i don't spend much. however, after saving up, there will come a time when i will need money to buy something, so then again, i will have to use up my savings. well, i guess that is the cycle of life. i dunno if i can do something about it. anyway, at least i am enjoying my life and still have some money to spare and give. take care and God bless you! :-)

Hi there! I would love to be able to save some of my monthly earnings but it seems that over the last couple of months, everything in my flat has broken down so all of our money has been spent! First of all, we needed a new freezer and then we needed a new tumble dryer, (thankfully we got given one that was in near perfect condition so we managed to get out of paying for that) Then Christmas and the New Year came and money just seemed to slip through our fingers so if we did have any savings...they are gone now!!! We are going to try and save money this year though as we currently live in Germany as my husband is in the Army and we are going back to the UK in 3 years. According to family back home, money is such a bad thing over there right now, we really need to save for when we have to go back!
