Disclaimer : This discussion may get gross at times ,my apologies for that.
I happened to be in a bus and saw a young man with his index finger (I think) in his nose picking away and examining its contents totally oblivious to the other onlookers. He would eventually use the said finger to flick away the contents(sorry again for the details).
How do you view this action ? is it gross or necessary ?,dont we all do it or do you have another technique ?.Do you do it in public or prefer a private space

Well done on your thousand wow ,I will have to get moving you are on my tail now, sons back at school tomorrow, grandchildren back at school, husband off for two days so it will give you a bit of a chance to catch me up!!!.As for you disgusting discussion how do you come up with them.Purly on a personall basis why can't these people carry a hankie, nothing more disgusting or uncessary.I would not advocate nose picking to make you popular and improve your social life .Nor would it be acceptable at a job interview so why do they sit behind the wheel of their car and pick their noses, they are open on all sides with windows in clear view of the world. They should fine people who do this disgusting thing like they fine people for speeding or using their mobile phones whilst driving.Thank you very much I have now got to cook my tea.

i think he;s the gross one doing that in a public place. he was nasty. somebody should have handed him a tissue since he didn't have enough sense to carry a hankie.

I think it is rather gross. I mean if you have a booger or something in your nose that is bothering you simply blow your nose, I don't think you need to go in scowering for gold. I think it is rather gross.

Well I meant picking it in public and probably examining its contents ,turning it over and flicking it away.I pick my nose too but not in oublic and I was my hands after or use tissue. When you are in public I believe that there are certain things you shouldnt do.Thanks for your response

It may be necessary, but it is definitely gross! First off, the kid was basically putting it where other people would have to deal with it. That's totally wrong. It should never be in public. I wonder how he'd feel if someone flicked one on him? It's totally bad manners too.
