It is suprising that I find myself checking facebook as the first thing I do when I get online. It used to be email. I am finding it to get a little addictive. I used to like Myspace more because of being able to change the personal page that others see when they visit. I am a graphic designer and so I liked designing my pages. But once I found a design that I really like I have not changed it on myspace. I have more friends who have been adding to facebook and requesting me as a friend and so its more exciting than it was for me a year ago. How about anyone else out there, have you found a difference in the level of activity that you have put into facebook?

Haha I know that feeling, I do the same with Youtube and Myspace. I haven't tried facebook though, so I can't you about it. I like receiving comments on both Youtube and Myspace, it's very fun putting up new videos that I make, so I understand when you get excited about make your own web page design :)

That's pretty cool. That is the next thing on my list to get a video cam, but I don't know, I would have to learn to operate it first so I can start a Youtube page!

I have definitely not jumped on the bandwagon here. I use these sites mainly as networking devices to generate traffic to my websites and enterprises. I do not use them much for overtly personal purposes. It just feels too odd to me. When you have a lot of people on your friends' list it sort of feels like most of the content on your page is seen by all these "friends" but intended for that very select few. I have people I keep in touch with and exchange photos and videos and thoughts with, but I still do that through e-mail. It does everything that Facebook, MySpace, etc. can do and it just feels more secure that way (this is just my own personal experience, of course!). For me, these sites, as I said before, have been a decent resource, in small doses, for business and website-related purposes, but other than that I am not very active at all.

I too have both a myspace and facebook accounts but I use my facebook much more and have many more friends on facebook. Unlike you, lilaidi, I am not skilled in page design and find myspace a bit intimidating; however, I find facebook very easy to use. I enjoy all the little widgits you can add, facebook is fun.
