why are organic product s so much more expensive than their counter-parts? I don't buy organic foods oftern....usually because I am shopping on a budget. I was doing the shopping to prepare for my fast and I spent the same amount for 1 weeks worth of food for just me that I would spend to feed my family for 2 weeks. I enjoy organic foods, and if they were more affordable I would probably buy them more often. So why the big price difference?

The way I see it is that I buy organic food when it is cheaper than other food (buying straight from farmers on the side of the road). I don't think the benefits of eating organic can't outweigh the horrible price difference.

You are right. I just don't see why there has to be such a difference. I bought a can of organic diced tomatoes and they were twice as much as the regular ones! I have been eating processed and preserved foods all of my life. I would happily change to organic if it wasn't going to be so painful for my purse!

We agree completely. I would gladly choose organic over processed every time, if the prices were the same.
