I don't make "resolutions". The word has negative connotations for me. I express my intentions, set my goals etc. I intend to focus more on my writing, jewelry patterns and soapmaking and try not to get distracted by things that don't matter.

Trying not to get distracted is itself a resolution. (it is not on the list and not for the new year, that is a different thing). lol All the best in your quest

I don't think there is anymore I can give up.I will jog along the best I can trying to be a good friend and family member.Keep the house tidy and look after my family ,help my daughter with her kids as she works and paying a childminder is so expensive during the holidays and if they are sick so then she can still go into work.Just basically not make any resolutions as such as they are so hard to keep.I thought I might try some voluntary work this year.I have to support my son who is taking another lot of exams starting in january.GCSE's he has already taken and passed seven already eight more to go finishing in may then he has the summer off then back in september for a two year A-level course he is taking four.It amazes me how they cope with it all,so I shall be busy and my years resolution is to get him through all his exams in one piece and hope he is happy with the results.

Thank you for your comment I agree with you completely but all those exams are supposed to be the normal amount now, alot of them are silly ones like citizen,pe, Re, nothing to do with his future prospect of getting a job ,but the powers that be decide these things and we have to get on with it.

I do not really take any resolution in a new year. I just want to keep a work entertainment balance.

I have a few resolutions for this year and they are to loose fifty pounds. Which is probally my biggest resolution since I want to loose at least 50 pounds before next year and maybe I could loose more which would be great. I also would love to find a better job since I hate my job a lot and want to get a better paying job so thats one thing ill be hoping to accomplish.

Loosing 50 pounds will require a lot of grind. I wish you all the success in your mission.

Hi there! it's has been a long time since I stopped making new year's resolution for myself as I don't really believe in it since most of us, admit it or not are not really following our resolutions. It was just lately when I realized that maybe, it's not really bad to have a new year's resolution this time. Just to prove that I can implement any of it to myself. And if I have any resolutions for 2009 it would be the following: 1. minimizing my LAZINESS----this has always been by weakness. I don't seem to have any directions at all lately. I'm so good with planning thing up but I always end up not doing it. I tend to sleep a lot lately thus forgetting my task or itinerary for the day. 2. to get into some sports----I'm not into sports but I guess I would better start learning something this year. I feel so useless recently and the more that I stay home doing nothing, the more that I feels so weak each day. 3. stay healthy-------oh well, maybe i should start eating healty food this time to avoid diseases. I'm always sick lately. Well, I guess, those are my top three new year's resolution for 2009. Happy mylotting! :)

none of these things on this list is my resolution for this year, mine is personal and I would rather not state it here.
