Have you seen the Green Mile? It is sooo sad to me? Here I am watching it again. I want to cry and it has not even started yet. So did you like it or not?

It seems to me that we're all in agreement here. Everyone that has responded to this discussion says they loved the Green Mile! I watch quite a few movies but rarely do I buy a movie or watch it repeatedly. The green mile, is up there in my top 10 list of favorite movies of all time. As someone else said I put it up there with the Shawshank Redemption. The other movie that I've been thinking of a lot recently, is A Beautiful Mind. Although it is not a prison movie the same as The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption, it is similar in that it has depth to it in it is one that I can watch to this day and see something new that I didn't see before. Happy Mylotting!

I love that movie! The actors did an out standing job. It was definitely a great movie. I have seen it so many times and I still cry every time I watch it.

I've seen the movie before but don't remember what exactly happens in it. I know that it is very sad though, so don't worry your not alone in thinking it's a sad movie.

Hi baileycows, yes I have seen the green mile. Great movie, great actors, sad story line. I was surprised to learn that Stephen King was the one who wrote it when I saw the credits after the movie.Another good move is Traitor and it was Steve Martin(the comic actor) was writing it during the time he when he was filming "Bringing down the house", a comedy.

I love that movie. I think Green Mile is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I usually coupled that with The Shawshank Redemption. Both are wonderful, touching movies. Both movies are based on Stephen King's short stories. Great performances from all the actors that are part of the movie. I'm always touched everytime I see these movies. So I guess, in your case, settle down and once again, relive the experience in watching this powerful, heartfelt movie.

This title tells me something, I'm sure I watched it but can't remember! I like all sad movies somehow I find them realistic and it's everyday stuff that happen for real. Could you please refresh my memory about it? Just a hint.

I've watched it and I think it's great (as all other King's work too...) I think the book was a lot more sad though.

It's a great movie. I watched it once a few years ago and like you I got very emotional, which is rare for me. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it again because of the emotions it stirred up. It's been a couple of years, maybe I should give it a try again just to see if I have the same reaction now that I had back when it came out.
