what is your opinion about the stuff that school is trying to teach us, the times that we have to go to school , the time we stay at school each day, etc. Well i admit that its the place were we spend our best years , we build our profile, our friends and our future. but we are getting much pressure from it as long as we have to study enough stuff no matter if its useful. So what do you think? tell how you face school's difficulties

california maki - japanese food from the buffet
I attended a pretty good college and I was happy that they didn't only teach us how to be good at our majors but they also taught us much about life - we tackled Theology, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology - all the basics, and as deep as the time would let us, even though we were majoring in Computer Science :D My stay was good and I learned a lot on how to deal with people and how people deal with life. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

why the heck is my california maki pic here?? I posted it in a different discussion! LOL myLot is acting super weird again! But seriously, I beg to disagree about high school. It may have a lot of crap, but good study habits develop in that stage of life before college :)

Yes this is something that they should also be teaching at high school. but they are teaching us much useless and less important things

I don't have a high opinon on schools, they sure are different then when I was in school, we had teachers who actually cared about their students and was there to let us know their door was always open if needed anything, and not just there to get a paycheck. I've heard that comment so many times, and to hear something come out of a teachers mouth, is just beyond me. here we pay taxes for this and our kids are not getting taught in the right way. I've had teachers tell me they can't sign a note staing that my son turned in his homework just for my knowledge, because then every student's parents would want that. so needless to say I've had bad experiences with schools, until they need $ for fundraising and other stuff, then they are nice. other than that, not good experiences. hopefully someday it will change for the better. i know some teachers out ther do care and show it by communicating with student and parent, but those who do not don't get my vote on good schools. there's nothing more i enjoy than being able to sit and talk to the teachers and knowing how my child is doing in school, but when some don't give me that time. then I don't waste my time. bizmom24

Something we learn in school is useful when we're in our woking, but something is actually not useful. We should learn more the lessons about practice and less about the theory. In fact, we should find out which is most attracted with us. We'd better spend more time on it. That'll good for our future. As to the exam in school, study hard two weeks before the exam, that's ok.
