The day I almost killed my new born baby...but angels were watching over us.

I love my children, each and every one of them. But there are times when I just wanna #@$%$! them! You know what I'm talking about, right? But this story isn't derived from anger, at least, not towards the infant...
When my oldest son was around 3-4, I had just given birth to my third child. One day, I decided that we were housebound too long and wanted to go out for lunch. For some reason, I had to let the van run before driving off and had the older children get into the van first. When I'd opened the side door, I was fiddling with the seat belts to get it ready for the baby's carseat when I noticed the older boy in the driver's seat. He was mimicking what I did and threw the car into drive and the van started moving forward. Angrily, I jumped into the van and even though we'd knocked over the post and dinked the corner of the house, I just put it into reverse and backed it out into the original position. Even as I was scolding the lad, it dawned on me...the baby was still on the ground! Holy crap and every fly that went with it! I turned off the van and went to see where the car had ended...and I kid you not...the seat was HERE.............and here was the tire. I had missed running over the baby by mere inches. I believe I got the kids out and went inside...and threw up.
Thank you, God, for watching over us that day.

Wow that was really close indeed. A lesson learned from that is to really keep watching those child of yours from doing this thing again from happening again. I am happy to know that no one is hurt. I guess next time you might want to go outside ask the help of your husband perhaps in doing so. I can see how hard it is to manage two younger children of your all by yourself.

Phew, that was a close shave. The very thought of what you must have gone through makes me shiver. I can understand your frustration too, for with so many small kids, its hard to have a moment to yourself and then to keep them safe too. Thank God for this mercy in life. The baby is blessed, and so are you. Just be a little more careful, I know you must be, more so now. Good luck and kiss the baby for me.
