War is never the solution.

While there are other wars going on in the world, at the moment most concern is being expressed over the war in Gaza. I find it impossible to take sides in such a conflict because I see all war as being completely insane. There can never be a military solution to this or any other war, the answer has to come through diplomacy. Mankind has evolved down through the ages and more and more people are saying that war must end or we will destroy the world as we know it. We have been saying that it is impossible to too long, the first step towards ending all war is to realize that it IS possible. It is naive for anyone to think that war can end human hatred. Consequently as one war ends another begins and after many thousands of years of fighting, isn't it time to try something else. The fact is we are all very much alike in what we really want in life, and it isn't running in panic with our children in arms trying to dodge bullets or bombs. IT IS POSSIBLE TO END WAR, belief it, accept it, make a beginning now. I await you comments.

Hi Pose123! I do believe that anything is possible! I do agree with you that if we believe it and commit our hearts and mind to it, we can end all wars. Hatred is such an ugly word to live by and we shouldn't be wasting so much of our short life here with having hatred in our hearts. I know this is easier said than done. I am not a mother who has seen her child being shot down or am I sister who have seen her brother being bombed in his home nor am I daughter experiencing his father being fired at conspicuously. I know I have not experienced wars but I believe that no matter how hard it is to bestow forgiveness, we can still find forgiveness in our hearts to achieve peace and harmony. I am sure all of us have been hurt one way or the other and hatred have dwell in our hearts somehow but if we learn to teach ourselves to love and forgive then maybe, just maybe, we can all be living in peace and harmony. Take care always. lovelots..faith210

I agee with you ,but how do you reason with a fanatic terrrorist organization like Hamas? They don't want peace and all they know is to teach their people violence and more violence.

I really hope that peace is possible ,but in order for change to take place people have to acknowledge that there is something wrong with their way of thinking ,and to take responsability for their actions. Nothing can be done unless they are willing to cooperate, compromise ,and accept change because peace could never be obtained from only one side of the table. Everyone wants peace except them ,and they will kill us if we don't defend ourselves. Maybe if we could show them that we are all very much alike even with our differences.

Hi Mirta, Thank You for your response. Hamas is just one such group in the world but a way has to be found to teach them the advantages of peace. There have been progress made before in areas where no one thought it was possible, it can happen again. Please believe that peace is possible, the future of civilization depends on peace in the world. Blessings.

i agree with you whole-heartedly pose... i never agree with war and i always believe that there is always other more decent ways to solve a conflict... it is so sad because everytime there is war, women, children and innocent civilians become the victims of someone's egos... if only people can put down their egos and sit down together to talk things over, i believe war can be avoided... take care and have a nice day...

Hi lingli, Thank you for your support, we must continue to keep the issue alive, that there is and has to be a better way. We have progressed in other ways, why are we still in the adolescence stage when it comes to this. Let us put aside our differences, let all who believe in a God or Gods pray for peace, let others envision peace but let us all work for peace. Blessings.

I do agree with you. I am against any type of war, whatever the reasons are. I always believe that the pen is mightier than the sword and that political negotiations can fix problems that war does not. I think war creates more problems than solving them. The Gaza situation really saddens me. It has gone for a long time. The international community seems insensitive to this question and left both parties killing each other. I do believe that diplomacy is the key solution to this problem.

Hi ronaldinu, Thank you for your support. Doesn't it seem insane that anyone would agree with war after we've all seen what it does, not only those who are killed but those who are disabled for life both physically and mentally. It's difficult to imagine what it must be like in Gaza not knowing what minute will be your last, I think of women running with their babies, trying to find a safe haven and finding none. This kind of scene does not belong in the twenty-first century. Keep believing that we can end war, no matter what others say. Without it there is little hope for the children being born today. All who believe in prayer should pray for peace and seek to know what contribution they can make. Blessings.

I agree with you that war is never the solution. We also have a conflict situation here in Mindanao whose roots originated in the fight of King Ferdinand of Aragon and Queen Isabella of Castile against Emir Boabdil of Granada. That fight occurred in 1492, but in Mindanao, there is still no solution in sight. Perhaps it's also worthwhile to peer closer into the political economy of war. The late US President Eisenhower warned the world about this, specifically about the Military-Industrial Complex. Some people earn from wars?

Hi bantilesroger, Thank you for responding and I realize that there are many conflicts in the world but over five hundred years has to be some kind of record.I know that some people earn from war but I'm sure there are much better ways of making a living. Blessings.

Yes I have been reading about this Israel palestine conflict and the first thing that came to my mind is whether war is the meane to settle rheir differences..And my answer is a big NO........Actually this rocket attacks and shelling is not making any sense to me....It will result in only the ordinary and innocent civilians getting killed or injured or left homeless...It will never be a solution to their demands.I wish the two sides will sit across table and sort it out with the help of the UN and other countries.War will only result in blood shed and further hatred and destruction of vast proportion ,not to mention human loss to both sides.OH god,I do hope both the sides will realise their mistakes and try to sort things out without furthering the destruction and bloodshed...we can only hope and pray Pose......amen.
