We don't learn from mistakes, we repeat it

Hey.....a couple of days ago my son appeared for a Group Discussion and he was given a topic wid d same caption "We dont learn from mistakes,we repeat it" Are we????? Many a times we consider failure is d staircase to success....it implies that though we failed....yet we try to overcome it by not repeating the same things that lead us to failure........ Ok i believe success is achieved...but lately i discovered that "are we really learning from our mistakes". Personally...if i could've learnt from my mistakes....i would've been a genius by now.....:) Pls comment.......c ya
