Hi friends,
I do a lot of paper work and almost every work needs a date in the top.
Right from writing a letter to sending a quotation or an enquiry and most importantly writing a cheque needs a date at the top.
As this is just the beginning of a New year i often write the date as xx/xx/08,and every time my seniors c it they scold me
.
Yesterday i gave a cheque of dated 05/01/08 to one of my customers and he said its 2009 now m8
.
Do u also face this problem? I think i will get over it by mid of Feb. Though aim having a real tough time now at work
.
Cheers,
Tutul

That is a common problem most people face every 'transition phase' like this. In my experience. In January I will always do the mistake. But after January is over, I will get used to this year. So, don't worry. I think this kind of mistake is still tolerable in this first month. But never do that in July

I think we all do that right after the New Year. I caught myself doing it, writing out bills the other day. I had to go back and change a couple. But, as you said, you'll soon get used to 2009; sort of takes awhile for it to sink in as being a new year.

oh yes. i have the same problem too. but i don't write cheques. Or not now as yet.
I just submitted a report yesterday and on the submission sheet i wrote 08. The lady didn't see it though and so i reckoned it shouldn't be much a problem. As long as i handed in my report on time. hee
BUt i think it'll take some time before i get used to the 9 at hte back. Too used to writing two zeros and linking them up. =)
