Hi guys, i am not sure if it's ok to post a job opening, anyways, our office is in need of communications officer, I would like to know if you know of someone interested. Here's the job description: Communications Officer The Communications Officer will work under the supervision of the Executive Director and in cooperation with other staff members to ensure the implementation of MCPI's Communication Strategy. Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Duties will include, but will not be limited to the following: - Develop, implement and monitor a communications strategy. - Work with the different networks/regional councils to promote and encourage membership. - Represent MCPI on committees, working group discussions, or as otherwise required. - Write and produce a range of materials for members and other stakeholders including email bulletins, newsletter and articles, promotional materials. - Ensure that MCPI's publications are of high quality and are disseminated appropriately. - Coordinate and produce the Annual Report. - Map and maintain information on relevant networks and partnerships. - Develop and maintain the website for general information and for specific support to members and stakeholders. - Work with the media to create and maintain a positive profile of the microfinance industry and issues relevant to the sector. - Ensure accessibility good practice in all communications. - Create and maintain effective and up-to-date databases of members, key contacts, and relevant information resources. - Help organize and service meetings for members. - Respond to communication and information requests. - Prepare minutes of Board and staff meetings. - Undertake any other duties as required. Qualifications: - Excellent spoken and written English; general ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form; specific skills in writing press releases and articles/stories for traditional and electronic media. - Candidates must have, at least, 3 years relevant experience in a media relations/communications environment; experience of working with NGO coalitions and networks are desirable. - Analytical and conceptual skills to think and plan strategically. Skills and experience in communication programs, monitoring, review and evaluation. - The candidate should have strong demonstrated organizational skills and strong computer literacy, including working knowledge of Word, Excel, email, internet, and knowledge of, or willingness to learn, web posting. -Should be a person who can work closely in a team, is patient, adaptable, flexible, able to improvise and work in an atmosphere that is often stressful. I hope by now your company already hired a communications officer... i would apply but i doubt i would be given the flexible time that i need... but for sure the salary is quite good... it would also be nice if they posted the benefits that will be given to the person if hired by the company...

Hello just try, we have not hired anyone yet, and we're still pretty open... please do send your resume. The pay will be around 20 to 30K, the perks is you get to travel (when needed) and meet people from the MF industry.

aww.. i would like to apply, but unfortunately, i dont have the experience about it. im still a student with a course of business management. i love to work on different releated media works but unfortunately again, our school dont have any offered course about it. anyway, do you ahve vacant position for me which is related to BM or marketing. i hope you will reply on it. i just want to ensure that my future will result on a postive way after the hard work her on our school. i hope you consider my mail. thanks and more powers!

Hi there with Business Management as a course it could go a long way. I mean, in the microfinance industry, a number of practitioners are Business Management graduates. So you do not have to worry. :) You still have a year or two I guess, and all you need is to develop those skills.
