I had lost most of data from Drive:D but thankfully it is almost recovered but..

The drive is still showing full without having lost data which has to be there but the programme i used has transfered the recovered data which is rar files and images into Drive:F now the problem is how can i get the filled space into my drive:D back which i need to fill it back without formatting it,because there are many programmes installed and they are running fine ........ please guide me as much as you can .....i,ll be thankful

You could try running defrag to see if that clears up some of the sectors which are all over the place. Also use disk cleanup, that usually clears a load of temp garbage. Actually on re-reading ... where the data has been recovered/backed up onto F: Why not go into the D: drive and delete those files. Meaning if they are now on F it should be safe to delete them from D to recover space.

That is the main problem,i can,t see the files but it showing the HD is filled with the same space which has to be contained those files but unfortunately these files are not visible,so in this scenario how can i delete them all .....
