Not that I am aware of. He knows that stealing is wrong, so if did steal something he probably would not have told me about it.

I got a call one day from a local store telling me three girls had been caught shop lifting and could I come pick up my daughter as she was one of the three. When I got there my kid was the old one that was crying. I asked what happened and the clerk told me the girls had stole candy. I asked where the candy was that my daughter took and it was explained my daughter hadn't actually took anything but she was with the other two that were found to have candy in their possession. I drove my daughter back to school as this was their lunch hour. I forbid her to leave school grounds unless I knew about it and I gave her the low down on what you pick for friends because you're judged according to the company you keep. I never had a problem after that but my daughter was very quick to tell me she was the only one that didn't actually steal anything and yet she was the only one that was punished. Oh the joys of raising children!!!

Well.. Not that I am aware of. I am sure she has or has thought about it, but I have never caught her or found anything that I didnt buy. But who knows. She might not have, but I would think most kids have thought about it. When we as parents tell them NO!

Well, my daughter sort of did. She had this necklace she wanted from JCPenney, and I asked her to hold on to it while I finished grabbing some shirts. I was going to go ahead and buy it, but everyone was in a hurry and I forgot all about it - until I found it in one of our shopping bags! My daughter (then 5) had forgotten she put it there, I'd forgotten we had it, and I explained what we did was wrong, even though it was really an accident, and she was SO upset. I told her that it was wrong to take something out of the store without paying for it, and that she should never do it. We went back the next day and explained the situation and paid for the necklace. The saleslady was actually kind of surprised that we came back to do that! But it was important to me that my daughter see how to make up for such a mistake.
