I spent the Christmas holidays with friends in San Jose, California. It was an 11-day vacation. I had a grand time! Since my friend was also on vacation on those days, we spent the holidays going around places near and not so near her place in San Jose. Of course, we visited downtown San Jose. It was not a big metrolpolis but a very nicely situated city nonetheless. Then we went around San Francisco for two non-consecutive days. The first whole day was almost spent inside a newly-opened museum. The museum has a lot to offer so we did not notice the time. Before we head back to her place, we passed by the Golden Gate Bridge Park to have our pictures taken. I guess, it's a must if you're visiting San Francisco huh?! LOL The second day spent in San Francisco was spent in and around the downtown area, mostly the tourist spots such as the Ferry Building, Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf etc. There are still other famous spots that we were not able to visit but that's okay. At least I have a reason to go back. LOL Napa Valley was part of the agenda. So we alloted a day to visit this wine country. Everywhere you look, left or right, there are vineyards everywhere. We were able to go into one, Sterling Vineyards. The tram ride was what I really enjoyed most. I am not a fan of wine! Then off we went to Stanford University after a day or two. Except for some tourists like us, the universty was empty. Everyone was probably enjoying their holidays just like us. Then it was off to this or that friends' house. I can't remember anymore. But I surely enjoyed every single time I spent with them. How about you? How's did you spend your holiday?

I am so glad that you had such a lovely time in California. I have been there three times and San Francisco is my second favorite city in the world. I also love in it San Diego and Santa Barbara. I spent Christmas around my family close to home. My trip to Cape Town is in one weeks time and I can't wait. Happy traveling.

I haven't visited San Diego and Santa Barbara. Maybe I would the next time I go there. I would visit Cape Town some other time too. Let's enjoy our travels!
