I wouldn't exactly say it's a stepping stone, it just happens sometimes or alot on the way to success. The ones that don't give up make it to success if the failure doesn't stop them.

That is a good observation. Somone once said that if you get fired from a job, it just means that your talents would be better suited for a different line of work.
