I will say that Hadlee might be a great bowler that's why he was awarded SIR.But unfortunately I haven't seen him. I have seen Shane Bond.in my view he is the best bowler of New Zeland. And in my view Stephen Fleming is the best batsman of New Zeland.

I have seen both hadlee & bond at their peak & have to confess that bond is a more lethal bowler. Unfortunately, injuries laid him low too soon. In batsmen, Martin crowe is far far far superior to astle, in technique, temperment, class & ranking. His batting was a poetry in motion & he has won many matches for his country single handedly. Hadlee undoubtedly was their best allrounder to date. Hwo was rightly Knited as "SIR".

I agree with you with regards to selection of the bowler. Richard Hadlee is undoubtedly the best bowler ever produced by New Zealand. The stats also prove this. There are a number of good batsmen who have played for New Zealand, but my vote for the best among them will go to Martin Crowe. He was a majestic batsman & used to play the shots with effortless ease.

for bowlers its not a difficult choice as richard hadlee is the greatest whereas it is tough to choose the best batsman.i will go with glenn turner as the best new zealand batsman.
