Duplicate discussions

I started a discussion yesterday and got 6 responses, maybe a couple of hours later someone else posted the same discussion with the exact same subject line and got 30 replies. Mylot still mystifies me. Have this ever happened to you, someone posts the exact same words in the subject line as you, but get more responses than you? Just curious.

I too have been there. Some very very good discussions vanish without any responses mostly because too many new topics were posted and the discussions. It also depends on the number of friends you have. The more friends you have the more responses you will get.

yes that can happen only when you started your discussion when very few people were active in mylot. and the other person started the same discussion at the time when many there were many mylotters active. as his discussion got the first view than yours he was able to get more response.

Ok, I got you, timing is what is important. My discussion was posted first, but I guess it was not a good time of the day. Thanks for responding.

I have had that happen to me before. I think some of it is timing and some of it is that some myLotters get more responses to their discussions no matter what they are. I think certain myLotters(not knocking anyone here) could start a discussion about the size of their bowl movement and get 100's of discussions.

ya it is very difficult to understand how it happens. luck is a main factor. persons who are interested in those topics post replies when they see it for the first time. be luckier to the that one..
