Traveling to a sunny climate

It is so bitterly cold in my home country at the moment. In a weeks time I am going to Cape Town and it will be the summer there. I can't wait and have packed some cool cotton summery clothing.
Do you like traveling to sunny locations?
Have you been to a hot country when the sky looked dull and it wasn't so warm?
Where would you on a free trip, to a tropical island?

Enjoy yourself!Im not sure whether Madagascar and Maldives belong to tropical zone or not. If I am given a free trip, I would like to go there to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful beaches.

its also very cold here maxi.we have -29 degrees.we love to fly to my country Philippines but we have no change to book a ticket.too expensive.the price of 2 person before is the price of each person now!

I love the sun so much - I hate coming home from holidays to a cold place! lol
I went to Antigua last February when I got married and on a couple of days it rained and was a cbit chilly and I was so upset!! lol The rest of the time though it was gorgeous! x
